RANTS AND RAVES!

The Editor's word is "Final"

T
he times, as they say, are a changing. As, you may have read on our 'frontpage', the Hamster Times is going Bi. (Ie, a new issue appearing every two weeks and not, as some silly people thought, " Experimenting wildly with its sexuality".) Of course, there are a number of reasons for this. One of them, is time. Not possessing the TARDIS, we are unable to leap backwards and put more than 48 hours in a day. (What do you mean by that 'only 24 hours' comment - we've been pencilling in extra hours between 2 and 4 in the afternoon which accounts for most of the discrepancies) Another reason, is the new look. Very nice it is too. (Thank you for your votes) We are currently in the process of applying the new look to as many of the issues on the old archive as possible.

Why are we doing that? Well, some might say you will find a brighter day. Some might say it's the result of the new year - some new-found respectfulness. No longer content to dwell in the entrails and excrement which previously we frequented. The real reason is, we just think it looks nice. It looks nice, and takes up a lot less space. Space, although relative, can be a problem for us, which is why this is a good thing.

The 100 percent official reason is, that the HT offices have been invaded by a higher life form, one dedicated to the production of quality produce at low, low prices. In between the frequent whippings and bored meetings, which are quite dull really, paperwork builds up and before you know it the Japanese Olympic Origami team has decended and turned all our stories into nice little paper boats and doves.

Lemon Curry?

You may notice, that each edition of the Hamster Times, appears slightly gradually now. A couple of pages a day. We thought, really, that it would be best to do it like this, because, well - it saves delaying the issue forever and a day while section 'x' awaits completion. This way, an edition is always live. Always available for you, the readers, to view. Of course, it also means that anything that doesn't make the current issue is inserted straight away into the next one. One example of that, is the photostory in this issue. It was intended, originally, for issue 10... but... as time crept up on us, we realised that it would be better to hold out on it until this issue - so that people didn't miss it all. We thought it seemed like a good idea. Anyway, it's only a short rants this month... I mean bi-week.

Have fun y'all,
Enjoy yourselves,
(recommended in a non-perverse way)

Ed!
